UID on three devices

Save your 9xchat UID, connect it to up to three devices, switch accounts safely, and resolve a device limit.

A free 9xchat UID supports one device. While a trial or Pro time is active, the same UID can be used on up to three devices. Use the saved UID on every device so your credits, plan, and licence stay attached to one account.

Save the UID before leaving this screen

Your UID is the account credential. It cannot be recovered if it is lost, and creating another UID does not move credits, Pro time, or device history.

Save a newly created UID

After choosing Create my free UID, 9xchat reveals the UID once and asks you to confirm that it is saved:

Choose Copy or Save as .txt.
Store the UID privately, preferably in a password manager.
Select I have saved my UID somewhere safe.
Choose Continue.

Never include the UID in a support message or an ordinary screenshot. The UID shown in this guide belongs only to the disposable documentation account.

Find the UID later

Choose the person icon near the bottom of the left navigation. The General tab shows the current UID with a copy button, along with the credit balance and subscription status.

Connect devices two and three

On each additional device:

Install and open 9xchat.
Finish the short introduction if this is a fresh installation.
Under Use an existing UID, paste the UID saved from the first device.
Choose Continue with UID and wait for verification.

Account verification needs an internet connection. Local models can work offline after verification, but cloud models, credits, account checks, and app updates still need the network.

Switch the UID on this device

Use Switch Account only when this installation is already connected to a different account:

Open the person icon → General.
Copy and save the UID currently shown.
Scroll to Switch Account, choose it, and confirm the warning.
On the welcome screen, use Use an existing UID.
Paste the replacement UID and continue.

Switching changes the account used by this installation. It does not combine accounts or transfer credits, Pro time, purchases, or registered devices.

If the device limit is reached

Open your 9xchat licence page, enter the UID, and open Devices. Remove an old or unused device, then verify the new installation again.

Removing a device ends that installation's access until it verifies again. If the UID is on the free plan, it has one device slot; adding another device requires active trial or Pro time, or replacing the registered device.

Reuse the UID in another 123sudo app

The same UID can identify you in supported 123sudo apps, but product licences remain separate. A 9xchat purchase does not automatically unlock 9xbuddy or 9xconvert.
