Handoff
Send a conversation from your computer to your phone, or back, with a 6-digit code and an encrypted transfer.
Start a conversation at your desk and carry on from your phone on the way home. Handoff moves a chat between your devices with a 6-digit code: the whole conversation arrives, attachments and agent included, and nothing is stored on a server along the way.
Sending a chat is part of Pro and included in the 3-day trial. Receiving one is free.
Send a chat
- Find the chat in the chat list and open its menu.
- Choose Send Chat…. The Send Chat dialog shows what will travel: the messages, the attachments and any linked agent.
- Choose Get a pairing code. A 6-digit code appears with a countdown.
- Enter the code on the other device. Keep the dialog open until the transfer finishes.
On mobile, Send Chat… is in the chat's Chat Options menu and in the chat list item's menu.
Receive a chat
- On the receiving device, open More chat options on desktop, or the chat list menu on mobile.
- Choose Receive Chat….
- Enter the 6 digits under Pairing code and choose Connect.
The chat appears in your list, ready to continue. Sending the same chat again later merges it: new messages are added and the ones already there are kept.

The receiving device answers with its own models, keys and settings. To bring your whole workspace to another device, use a backup from Settings → Data & exports.
Private by design

Encrypted end to end. The chat is encrypted on the sending device and decrypted only on the receiving one. The relay at
handoff.123sudo.comintroduces the two devices and passes the encrypted data along, but cannot read it. -
Nothing stored. The conversation is not saved on any server.

Single use and short-lived. Each code works once and expires within minutes. Codes are protected against guessing.
If it does not connect
- The code expired. Cancel, choose Get a pairing code again, and enter the new code.
- Both devices need a connection for the few seconds the transfer takes.
- Keep both dialogs open until you see Chat sent and Chat received.
