Account and plan

Do I need an account?

Yes — a UID, created inside the app in one click with no email and no password. See Your 123sudo UID.

How many conversions do I get on a free account?

Five a day, and a limit on how many files one import can add. Pro removes both. See Free and Pro.

What happens when my trial ends?

Creating a UID inside the app starts a 3-day trial. When it ends the account returns to the free limits — nothing is deleted, and files you already converted stay where they are. A UID bought on 123sudo.com has no trial; it grants nothing until the payment settles.

How many devices can use one UID?

One on a free account, three on Pro. A second machine on a free account reports a device limit rather than an invalid UID. See UID and devices for the complete flow.

Desktop

Why is the desktop app better than web converters?

9xconvert processes files locally using available CPU and GPU capabilities — no cloud uploads or server file-size limits. Actual speed depends on your device, input format, output codec, resolution, filters, and selected settings.

Does it work without an internet connection?

The conversion engine works offline because all processing happens on your machine. UID verification, updates, and From URL still need a connection.

Can I convert hundreds of files at once?

Yes, with a trial or subscription. Drag and drop entire folders or import a CSV/TXT file list and 9xconvert works through the batch autonomously. A free account converts five files a day and caps how many one import adds.

Mobile

Why is the mobile app better than web converters?

9xconvert runs locally on your phone's chip — no file uploads and no server-side file size limit. The conversion itself uses no mobile data.

Does it work offline?

All conversion uses your phone's hardware and does not upload the file. UID verification and updates can still need a connection.

Files and formats

Is there a file size limit?

No. Since nothing is uploaded, there is no server-side cap on how large a file can be. Practical limits come from your own disk space and memory.

What can I work with?

Can I edit a file rather than just convert it?

Yes. Editors has a video, audio, image, GIF, and PDF editor for working on one file at a time — see the five editors.

Where are my converted files saved?

In the folder set at Settings → Conversions → Location. The quickest way to a specific file is the Folder action on its row in Conversions → Completed. Clearing that list removes the history entry, not the file.

How do I update 9xconvert?

Desktop builds update themselves and prompt you to restart; Store and Play builds update with your other apps. If a From URL link stopped working, or a screen does not match this documentation, update before anything else — see Updates and versions.
