Library and saved files

Preview outputs, organize collections and favourites, resume drafts and understand removal versus deletion.

Library brings together finished outputs and unfinished drafts. It stays available on Free. Local history is not an account-synchronized backup of your files.

Find and organize files

Use list or grid view, search and sort. Type filters help narrow the results. Star a file to add it to Favourites, or put it in a named collection.

Collections organize references to converted files; they do not move the physical outputs. A file can belong to more than one collection. Removing a collection does not delete its output files.

Desktop offers selection and drag actions, including dragging into a collection or out to a file manager where supported. Android uses row menus and selection actions rather than the desktop drag workflow.

Preview and actions

Open Preview from the desktop file menu, or tap an Android result. Supported video, audio and images can be previewed; PDFs, text and subtitle previews have their own limits. Unsupported preview does not necessarily mean an invalid file. Use Open to try a suitable external app.

The preview can step through the list. Details show information available for the file and what made it. Android also offers Share; desktop offers Show in folder and Copy path.

Convert again and Open in editor rework a finished output and need Pro or an active trial. This is separate from converting a new local source within Free limits.

Where files are saved

Desktop defaults to Downloads. Settings or a custom flow can choose another folder and naming rule. Show in folder reveals where that output was actually written, even after the default changes.

Android keeps an app output and publishes a copy to the destination in Settings → Conversions → Location. The default public folders are Movies, Music, Pictures or Download under 9xConvert, according to type. An available SD card or chosen folder can be used where Android permits it.

Check Saved to for the stored destination, or Only in the app when there is no public copy. If a chosen Android destination is unavailable, default storage may be used with a notice. Old results or additional flow-created copies may not all have tracked public locations.

Remove or delete?

Remove from Library hides the entry and leaves its output files. Use Undo while it is offered to bring the entry back. Clearing a completed record does not restore Free quota already consumed by successful work.

Desktop Move to Trash is a separate file action. Android Delete file can remove the app output and its tracked public copy. Undo for removing an entry is not a guarantee that a deleted physical file can be recovered.

Read the confirmation before a destructive action. Old Android entries or additional copies outside the tracked destination may require separate management in the file manager.

Missing files and drafts

A missing output cannot be recreated by opening its Library entry. Restore the file or convert the original again. A draft with a missing original can use Find it where offered, but the draft itself has no media backup.

Read troubleshooting if saving, locating or opening a file fails.
