Updates and versions

Conversion runs on your own machine, so most problems are local — but the engine, the format support, and the From URL extractors all ship inside the build. Checking your version is the cheapest first step.

Check your version

The version is printed at the bottom of the left sidebar, under the icons — for example v2.2.3. Quote it in any support message.

How updates arrive

• Desktop builds update themselves. When one is ready the app tells you; restart it to finish.
• Microsoft Store builds update through the Store with your other apps.
• Android builds update through Google Play.

You can always fetch the current build by hand from the download page, which is the source of truth for what is released.

When to update before anything else

• A From URL link stopped resolving. Extraction depends on how a site serves its media, so when a platform changes something the fix ships as a new build.
• A format or preset behaves differently from what a guide describes. The screens and controls in this documentation follow the current release; an older build can differ.
• A conversion fails on a file type that used to work.

Reporting a problem

Send support:

• your operating system,
• the 9xconvert version from the sidebar,
• the input format and the output format you chose,
• the tool or editor you used, and the exact visible error.
