The conversion queue

Open Conversions from the left sidebar. It has a Queue tab for work in progress and a Completed tab for everything finished, each with its own count.

Queue

The queue shows each running conversion with its progress, and lets you cancel an item or retry one that failed. Conversion is CPU and GPU work on your own machine, so speed depends on the file, the operation, and what else the machine is doing — not on a connection.

Parallel Conversions in Settings controls how many run at once. Raising it does not make a single file finish sooner; it lets more files finish in the same wall-clock time, up to what the hardware sustains.

Acting on the whole queue

Actions in the toolbar applies one change to everything queued, rather than a row at a time.

• Pause All and Resume All are the same entry, following whichever state the queue is in. It is unavailable when nothing is running.
• Retry All restarts every failed conversion. Unavailable when nothing has failed.
• Cancel All stops the queue and discards it. It is the only entry here that cannot be undone, which is why it sits apart in red.

Clear Failed, beside Actions, removes the failed rows without touching anything still running — useful for reading a long queue rather than changing it.

Completed

Finished files are listed newest first and can be sorted. Each row shows the output name, its size and format, and the operation that produced it, with Open, Edit, and Folder actions. Output goes to the Location set in Settings unless the conversion specified otherwise.

Folder is the quickest way to find a converted file on disk. Clearing history removes the entry, not the file.

Batching

Adding several files at once stages them together on Home, grouped by type, and Convert Now runs the whole selection. On a free account the daily allowance applies to started conversions, so a long selection can stop part-way; batch conversion and CSV/TXT import need an active trial or subscription. If a conversion fails

1. Confirm the source file still exists and has not been moved or renamed.
2. Check free disk space and write access to the output folder.
3. Retry the single file on its own rather than inside a large selection.
4. For an unusual source, try Convert to a common format first, then do the operation on the result.

A file that another application currently has open can also fail to read. Close it and retry.
