Refer a friend

A referral code gives your friends 20% off any plan and adds licence days to your own account when one of them buys. It belongs to your UID, so the reward lands on the same account you already sign in with.

What each side gets

Nothing is earned before your friend's payment goes through. Days are added to your licence automatically, and if your licence has expired the new days start from the moment they arrive.

Find your code

Open your licence page, sign in with your UID, and choose Refer a friend.

Select Generate my code the first time. You get a code that looks like 9X-K7M2QR and a link that carries it for you.

A code is only created when you ask for one

Nothing is generated just by opening the page, so if the panel offers you a button rather than a code, that is why.

Send either one:

The link — your friend lands on a page that already has the code applied.
The code — your friend types it at checkout, under Have a referral code?

The code is safe to post publicly. It cannot be used to sign in, it reveals nothing about your account, and the only thing anyone can do with it is give you licence days. That is the opposite of your UID, which is the credential for your account and should never be shared.

Requirements

You need to have bought a plan. Referral codes belong to customers, so the panel shows the terms and a link to the plans until you own one. A lapsed licence still counts — you bought it, so your code keeps working.

Your friend has to be new. A referral only applies to somebody's first purchase. Someone who has already bought from us can still use ordinary promo codes, but not a referral code.

You cannot refer yourself. Your own code will not discount your own purchase, and no reward is earned.

Why a reward is sometimes withheld

Your panel counts friends who joined, who bought, and who earned you days. A purchase can happen without a reward, for these reasons:

Reason	What it means
Daily cap	There is a limit on how many rewards you can earn in a day.
Lifetime cap	There is a limit on the total days one account can earn.
Same network	Both accounts were created from the same network, which we treat as a possible self-referral.
You have lifetime	There is no more time to add to your licence. Your friends still get their 20%.

If you hold a lifetime licence you cannot earn days, because there is no term to extend. Your code still discounts for everyone you share it with.

Replace a code

If your code ends up somewhere you did not intend, choose New code on the same page. The old code stops working immediately, and days you have already earned are kept.

Which apps

Referrals run on 9xbuddy, 9xconvert and 9xchat. A code works across them, so you can send a friend to a different app from the one you use and still earn days on your own licence.
